Just a Thought

Mrrrrr Friends,

I'm gonna catch you up on all the stuff that's happened in the past month, don't worry. I know you all are wondering how my brook is, what happened during snow melt, whether the heirloom tulips that Oom and Boo planted under my white pine in the back yard are doing their thing, and more.

But later.

I was outside in the garden today, thinking.
I love digging in the dirt. I even like digging in the mud. But I dig for a reason. I dig to put valuable, nutritious nuggets into the soil. I don't dig to extract. (Okay, so I have been known to try to extract a vole or a chippie.)

If you dig so far that you hit oil or gas, you might be in trouble. If you intend to hit oil or gas, and you can't handle it, you screwed up.

Problem is, it's usually other critters that suffer the consequences.

If you dig a hole, you put something back in. You don't just take stuff out.

But maybe that's just me.
